Mariana Duarte Santos is a Portuguese artist and large-scale muralist based in Lisbon.
Her works are mostly focused on concepts of memory, collective identity and local stories. Since 2019 she painted over 50 murals throughout Portugal, Spain, Luxembourg and Ireland.
I try to make things that will stand out and blend at the same time. I don't like things to stand out too much because when I'm painting, I'm there for a week and people that are there are living with the mural for like in their daily life.
