Zamir Kvekveskiri

Zamir Kvekveskiri (ზამირ კვეკვესკირი) was a 44-year-old internally displaced person (IDP) from Ochamchire, Abkhazia, who set himself on fire in January 2025 in protest against unresolved housing problems and the lack of state support. He died on 1 February 2025 from severe burn injuries sustained in the incident outside the IDP Agency.
